Working as a reliever with ECE Consultants provides a flexible lifestyle.  Assignments vary from 3 hours to 3 months and can be full time or part time, long term or just day to day.

Relievers are encouraged to keep us informed of their situation, and availability and we endeavour to find shifts to suit their needs.

ECE temps come from all walks of life, but have one thing in common – the genuine enjoyment of working with, and caring for children, and the desire to make a difference.

There is no such thing as a typical temp.  Temping suits many people including Mothers who are looking for some added income, Grandmothers seeking social interaction and a bit of fun to keep them challenged, students who need to work to support their study, or wish to gain experience, which is relevant to their degree or diploma. At ECE Consultants we pride ourselves on respecting everyone’s unique skills and attributes. We have an awesome team of fabulous temps.

To be a successful temp you need to be approachable, friendly and proactive. A positive “can do” attitude and the ability to take direction well.  The ability to navigate around town is also a must.  

Working with preschool children can be physically demanding, but also extremely rewarding. Childcare centres are busy, often noisy environments.  There is never a dull moment, and always a funny story to share afterwards.
